Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dr. Osama Shaalan (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Smile ResiPro application, website, and related services.
1. Scope
This policy applies to information handled through Smile ResiPro. It does not replace the policies of Apple, RevenueCat, or other third-party services.
2. Information handled by Smile ResiPro
Dental photographs and markings
You may import or capture dental photographs and place reference markings for educational shade review, planning, comparison, or documentation. The app is designed to process and store photographs and related case information locally on your device. Do not include faces, names, patient numbers, or unnecessary identifiers.
Locally stored case information
Smile ResiPro may locally store restoration type, tooth selection, cavity size, shade and composite-system selections, layering strategy, notes, markings, and initial or final dental photographs. This remains on the device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or transmit it.
Subscription and purchase information
Apple and RevenueCat may process an anonymous or service-generated identifier, product and entitlement identifiers, purchase and renewal status, transaction or receipt information, expiration information, and related app, device, platform, and diagnostic information. We do not directly receive or store complete payment-card details.
Technical information
The app and providers may process limited technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or improve subscription functionality, including app version, operating system, device type, errors, and network requests.
3. How information is used
Information may be used to provide features; save and reopen local cases; generate requested documentation; determine subscription entitlement; process and restore purchases; diagnose errors; maintain security; provide support; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use dental photographs to provide an independent medical diagnosis.
4. Legal bases
Where required, processing may rely on performance of our agreement, consent, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, legal obligations, or protection of legal rights. The treating professional or healthcare organization is responsible for the legal basis and authorization for patient information.
5. Local storage and device security
Dental photographs and case information are designed to be stored locally. You are responsible for device passcodes or biometric protection, secure backups, access control, confidentiality requirements, and deletion when information is no longer required. Deleting the app may remove local information.
6. How information is shared
Apple
Apple processes App Store downloads, subscriptions, payments, renewals, refunds, and Apple Account services under Apple’s privacy policy.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat processes purchase, subscription, entitlement, anonymous identifier, and related technical information to validate purchases and determine access under RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Other disclosures
Providers assisting with hosting, security, support, legal compliance, or operations may process information as necessary and subject to appropriate obligations. Information may also be disclosed to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or enforce agreements.
7. Sale and advertising
We do not sell dental photographs or patient case information, and Smile ResiPro does not use dental photographs for third-party behavioral advertising.
8. International processing
Apple, RevenueCat, and other providers may process information in other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used.
9. Retention
Local photographs and cases remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall, subject to backups. Apple and RevenueCat retain transaction information under their policies and legal obligations. Support communications are retained only as reasonably necessary.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, obtain portability, or withdraw consent. Control local information through the app or device. Use Apple Account controls for Apple purchase information. For requests concerning information controlled by us, email info@drosamashaalan.com.
11. Patient privacy responsibilities
If used in patient care, you or your organization may be responsible for patient information. You must provide required notices, obtain consent or authorization, apply security measures, respond to rights requests, follow retention rules, and comply with health-information and confidentiality laws.
12. Children
Smile ResiPro is intended for adult dental professionals and is not directed to children. Dental professionals must obtain all required authorization before processing information concerning a minor patient.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures, but no device, storage method, or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for securing the device containing local information.
14. Data breaches and incidents
We will investigate incidents affecting information for which we are legally responsible and provide required notifications. For a lost, stolen, or compromised device, contact your organization’s privacy or security contact and take legally required action.
15. Governing law
This policy and our handling of information are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, subject to mandatory rights under applicable privacy laws.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Service, providers, or law. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date.
